what I treat/gut health

Gut treatment for the bloating you’ve learned to live around

The gut sits underneath more of what I see than any other system, including skin, hormones and energy. If you’ve been cutting out foods and getting nowhere, or your bloating has simply become part of your day, there’s a reason in there worth finding properly.

If I don’t think naturopathy is your best next step, I’ll tell you on the call and point you somewhere better.

Signs this is your picture

  • Bloating that builds through the day
  • IBS, or a diagnosis that never came with a plan
  • Reflux, burping or feeling heavy after meals
  • Constipation, urgency, or a bowel that swings between
  • A growing list of foods you’ve cut out
  • Skin, hormone or energy symptoms alongside gut ones

what I look for

What’s actually happening in there

Before anything is treated, I want to know what’s actually happening in there: how your digestion is functioning from stomach acid down, whether the picture suggests SIBO or dysbiosis, what your food and symptom patterns reveal, and whether the gut is quietly driving problems elsewhere. Microbiome and breath testing get used when they’ll genuinely change the plan, not by default.

how I treat it

Rebuilding, in order

Treatment rebuilds function in order: digestion first, then the microbial picture, then careful, structured food reintroduction, because the goal is a gut that tolerates more food, not less. Herbal medicine and specific strains are matched to your findings, and I’m careful to keep eating from becoming smaller and scarier than it needs to be.

Frequently asked questions

Do you test the gut microbiome?

Yes, when it will change what we do. I use comprehensive microbiome mapping and, where the picture fits, SIBO breath testing, with most kits completed at home. Testing is always a decision we make together based on your presentation, not a default add-on.

Can gut treatment help my skin or hormones?

Often, yes. The gut is a major driver in hormonal acne, histamine symptoms and hormone clearance, which is why gut work appears inside many of my skin and hormone treatment plans.

Will I have to cut out more foods?

The aim is the opposite. Short strategic changes are sometimes used, but the goal of proper gut treatment is a gut that handles more food comfortably, and I structure reintroduction so your diet grows back rather than shrinking.
